OUR NEWEST MOMMY! {AKC PARTI YORKSHIRE TERRIER PUPPY BREEDER}

I just had to introduce the newest addition to our breeding team. As a breeder, I go through a careful process of finding the best of the best dogs to breed so I only offer my clients top quality AKC yorkies. This is our newest mommy, Millie, and goodness is she ADORABLE! I chose her for a few reasons. First of all, I can't get enough of her perfect coat of hair. She has very silky, tangle free hair. I also love, love, love, her coloring. She is a full parti yorkie, but her back is all pitch black, and the parti trait is only present on her belly and feet. This is very unique coloring for a parti yorkie, so I immediately knew I had to have her! I also chose her because of her nice boxy, petite frame. She has very very short lets and a perfectly square back. She is on the smaller size only weighing around 4.5 pounds, but the vet thought she looked very healthy and that she still has a great stature for breeding. Lastly, I am in LOVE with her personality. She likes to be carried everywhere in my arms on her back like a baby. She also loves to snuggle. I work on the computer a lot, and I am not allowed to sit at the computer without her right on my lap. Sometimes she gets in the way of my keyboard, and she usually ends up typing on the keyboard because she loves to lay her head right by my hands. She is a complete doll and we just love having her around. To top things off, Millie has an excellent pedigree with a lot of Champions in her lines. Together, between her and Lucky (who also has a LOT of Champions), they are going to have some amazing puppies!

Millie is due to have her first litter of puppies in February, so we are very excited to see what she has. She is getting pretty big, so I think she'll have a great litter! I will accept one pre-deposit, pick of her litter, so contact me for more info or to be added to my waiting list!

KYLIE'S 3 LITTLE TRIPLETS {AKC YORKSHIRE TERRIER BREEDER}

These three little girlies are the cutest things you've ever seen! They are from KYLIE and LUCKY, so there is no doubt they are going to be gorgeous adults just like their parents! KYLIE'S FEMALE A COCO:

Coco is currently the largest of the group, but not by much. She is not even a full ounce bigger than her sister. She is tracking to weigh 4.5-5 pounds as an adult. She has a cute little white mark on her face that shows the parti gene that she carries. She is very sweet, and maybe even a little shy, especially for the camera :)

KYLIE'S FEMALE B CHANEL:

Chanel is tracking to weigh around 4.5-4.75 pounds to be precise. She is barely smaller than her sister, so it can be hard to tell them apart. Her facial coloring seems to be a little darker than her siblings, so there is a good chance her coat will stay very dark like her mamas. She is very content, and as you can see, loves the camera!

TASHA'S FEMALE C COUTURE:

Couture is the baby of the bunch, and she is a doll! She is tracking to weigh around 4-4.5 pounds full grown. She seems to have a little bit rounder teddy bear face and a cute short little nose. She has the most tan coloring on her face at this point. She is very calm, and just trying to fall asleep during her photo shoot!

BUYERS...

I call these Kylie's triplets because they are very similar! We have been weighing them daily and they each have a ribbon around them just so we can tell them apart! Their weights have been within tenths of an ounce of each other, so they are all going to be very close in size as adults as well. I know it may be very hard to choose, but you can't go wrong with any of them :) Please look over their pics and info and e-mail me which is your favorite. This is the order of who get's pick...

SWEET NEW YEAR PUPPIES ARE HERE! {AKC TINY YORKSHIRE TERRIER PUPPIES FOR SALE}

We where lucky enough to have 2 litters of puppies on New Years Day...WOW! Like I said, I've been VERY busy :) Tasha had 1 standard male, 1 parti male, and 1 parti female. We named them Midnight, Sparky, and Eve (all New Year themes of course). Midnight already had a home with an amazing couple, and there is no doubt he is going to be SPOILED! I must say that I just love what I do, and I am so grateful for all of my amazing clients who provide such loving homes for my babies!

Our best little Mama, Bella, had a litter of 4 beautiful Full Parti Color Yorkshire Terrier Puppies. Bella's puppies are some of the most beautiful parti yorkies I have ever seen, so I am so excited about these little babies. She had 2 males, and 2 females. We named the females Cookie and Creme. And the males are Chalk and Po. They have the most beautiful little faces, and really nice markings.

There has been a lot of excitement going on at our house the last few days! Kylie and Lucky had a litter of puppies on New Years Day! Kylie had 4 BEAUTIFUL, tiny, perfect little girls. Kylie's has the most adorable puppies ever, so there's no doubt these little girls are going to be perfect just like the rest. We named them Juicy, Couture, Coco, and Chanel. They are as posh as they come!

Kylie's puppies generally weigh between 4-6 pounds. Past puppies have had darker coloring, and perfect coats of silky-soft, tangle free hair. Kylie carries the party gene, and the dad, Lucky is a full parti, so these puppies are parti carriers. They will have Parti Puppies if bred with a full parti. NEW LITTER ANNOUNCEMENTS!

We are excited to announce that we will be having two new litters in the next few weeks! Both Tasha, and Kylie are pregnant. Our little stud muffin Lucky has been a busy little guy :)

Tasha and Kylie both have the most BEAUTIFUL puppies in the whole world! Tasha has both parti carriers and full parti puppies, so it's always fun to see what she has. Kylie is Tasha's daughter, and she is a parti carrier, but she has always had just parti carriers. She is very dark, and most of her puppies have kept that beautiful, black, silky coat of hair just like their mommy.

This is the one and only ADORABLE Minnie. She is one of the tiniest puppies I have ever had. She weighed only 2.5 pounds at birth! She has been a very healthy, happy little girls and she is tracking to weigh around 3 pounds as an adult.

CHECKER'S AND LUCKY'S BABY PUPS {4 WEEKS OLD}

Thanks to the beautiful warm fall weather in Southern Utah, we where able to take Checker's little babies out for their first outing. They where a little nervous as they always are at this age, but they really enjoyed practicing getting their feet under them. They usually walk backwards when they first learn to walk, which is the most hilarious thing. The little girls is probably the most outgoing little one at this point. The smallest of the group generally has a small dog complex...LOL! She doesn't let her big brothers push her around one bit, I love it. The biggest parti colored boy is the most snuggly. Once he found his way around, we just kept crawling back to be and wanting to be held. I just love me a little snuggle bug! The little black boy is very chill. He generally sleeps on his back and is very quite and sweet.

At this point, there is only one puppy available from this litter. The parti male is the only one that isn't spoken for yet, so if you are looking for a yorkie pup, contact me before he's spoken for.

CHECKER'S PUPPIES ARE HERE! {YORKSHIRE TERRIER LITTER ANNOUNCEMENT}

Miss Checker's had a litter of 3 beautiful little yorkshire terrier puppies on September 18, 2011. She had 1 standard colored male who weighed 5.8 ounces, 1 parti colored male who weighed 5.2 ounces, and 1 parti colored female who is the runt of the litter only weighing 3.0 ounces.

Lucky is the dad to these puppies, and these puppies are going to be gorgeous! They are healthy and all is well. Checker's did a great job and is taking wonderful care of her babies. Thanks to the nice warm weather, the pups got to have their first outdoor adventure. They didn't make it past the patio, but they loved exploring and wrestling around. This has been such a fun, busy week at our house. Bella had her puppies on Tuesday morning, and everything went perfect! She had 4 BEAUTIFUL full parti colored puppies. She had 3 females, and 1 male. They have a lot of beautiful markings on them just like their daddy, Gunner. Two of my good friends and fellow breeders have puppies from Bella's previous litter, and they are easily the cutest parti puppies I have EVER seen! Their hair is silky soft and straight as can be, and they have very petite frames and nice square bodies. There is no doubt these puppies are going to be top quality beautiful pups. It is SO cute! Mya is the biggest girl and looking to weigh around 5 pounds, so she should be a great sized dog for breeding.

This is the Tiny girl of the bunch Minnie. My hear melts every time I see her. She is so tender and so sweet. She is looking to be very small as an adult, so she will include a spay contract. We do not send out really tiny pups to homes with small children, so we are looking for just the right home for her. THE BIG COMMITMENT | BUYING A NEW YORKSHIRE TERRIER PUPPY

I decided a blog would be very helpful for keeping my customers up to date on what is going on with our yorkies and their pups, and so we can give you a little insight to our family and how the pups are raised when they are with us. I will be posting all my litter announcements and pictures of the puppies throughout their time with us, so be sure to follow our blog to see all the fun that goes on.

My goal as a breeder is to give my clients as much information as I can in order to ensure that they are 100% ready to make the commitment to bring one of our sweet little babies into their home. Bringing home a puppy is like bringing home a new member of the family. Please take full advantage of the information on my blog and website in order to ensure that you are ready to buy a puppy.

In my opinion, Yorkies are the BEST dogs you can get, and they are very easy to fall in love with, but there is no doubt that puppies are a lot of work and a big commitment. With the right training techniques and approach, one of my puppies will quickly become your best friend. I feel that yorkies are very intelligent dogs, and easily trained. Some yorkies can be a little timid, and if you use too much force and discipline, you will end up with a dog that it terrified of everything, so it is important to understand your puppies personality and train accordingly. These are small dogs, so it doesn't take much more that a clap of the hands to remind them not to chew on your shoes.

I feel that yorkies are great dogs for all types of family, but you must consider size when choosing the right puppy for you. I do not recommend buying extra small yorkies if you have young children in the house. I have 2 young children myself, and my girls do great with my dogs, but I do not have dogs of my own that are under 4 pounds in my house. Of course our puppies are small, but we use a lot of caution when handling them.

These are just a few of my recommendations and cautions when making the big commitment. Be sure to check out my other postings for training tips and updates.

These may be the most adorable little things ever! Kylie had 4 tiny puppies on Thursday night. She did such a great job at delivering them, and had no problems. They have been really healthy and Kylie is taking such great care of them. I just love the sounds of brand new baby puppies. These puppies should have a dark black coat like their mom, and there is no doubt they are going to be gorgeous! Their parents Kylie and Gunner have the most loving personalities. When I am not loving my sweet girls and my pups, I am taking pictures. I have a small photography business on the side, and my favorite clients are my daughters and pups. It is my creative outlet, which is a must have for me. Getting a 6 year old, very stubborn 2 year old, and a dog to look at the camera is next to impossible, so I don't even bother. I love capturing those natural playful moments that truly reflect their personalities. Miss Scarlett is a very loving dog, and she loves to give kisses whenever she gets a chance, so she was in heaven. From my experience, yorkies are great with kids, and as you can see from these photos, Scarlett was perfectly relaxed in the arms of my daughters.

KYLIE'S ALMOST DUE! | AKC STANDARD AND PARTI COLORED YORKIES FOR SALE

Kylie is due May 1st to have her puppies. We questioned for a long time whether or not she was pregant, but as you can see, there is no doubt at this point. She looks like she might pop! She was bred with Gunner, who is a TINY, stunning, full parti yorkie. Below is a picture of one of her babies from her last litter, and he is pretty much adorable! His name is Nash, and he is about 5 pounds full grown. He has a very dark coat and silky-soft hair just like his mom. Please contact me to be notified when this litter is born.

Potty Training Tips to Success

Potty Training can be a VERY frustrating experience, but never give up…if you are persistent, you will be satisfied with the end results. Just like with children, the two keys to potty training are being consistent and maintaining a schedule. The biggest mistake you can make is harshly disciplining your puppy if she makes a mistake. Never swat your puppy or rub her face in her mess, you will only intimidate and cause your puppy to hide when she goes potty.
Everyone has their own methods of success, but I feel that crate training is the best and most successful way to potty train. The crate is your puppy’s home, and puppies do not like to mess in their personal space. She should always sleep in her crate, and be contained in her crate for short periods of time when you cannot attend to her. This will not only prevent unwanted messes in your home, but it will also keep her safe as well.
The moment you take your puppy out of the crate in the morning, take her outside to her potty spot. Always take her out to the same place, and through the same door; keep it consistent so she knows where to go when she needs to go out. Sit and wait patiently, quietly saying “go potty” as she sniffs around. When she relieves herself, immediately praise her and give her a little rub. Allow her to eat and spend 5-10 minutes playing, than take her back outside. After she relieves herself again, return her to her crate or to a small confined area for a couple of hours. Repeat the process throughout the day, and in about 2 weeks, she should be potty trained and know that she is not allowed to go in the house.
If your puppy doesn’t go potty when you take her outside, return her to the crate for a few minutes and try again. Give her plenty of time to go potty; puppies tend to get a little excited when you take them outside.
As your puppy gets more familiar with the process, you can lighten up her restriction. Never confine your puppy in a kennel for too long, and if you are going to be gone for an extended period of time, you may need to expand their personal area so they have a designated potty place within the confined area, a bed, and room for food dishes. I recommend a small room such as a laundry room with a small dog pen to confine your pup. I recommend always kenneling your puppy at night. If he/she cries, place her kennel next to your bed so she knows your close by. Also give her a stuffed animal to sleep with, puppies love to snuggle close.
The most important thing is to never let your puppy roam free in your house. She wants and needs restrictions just like a small child. It is great to spend time playing and snuggling with your pup, but if you cannot attend to her, she should be in her own confined area. This is just as important for your pups safety as it is for training purposes. If anyone has any other tips, I would love to hear them. Everyone has their own methods, but I have found this one to be the most successful. Yorkies and Weight…Do Teacup Yorkies Exist??

I have a lot of buyers call looking for a “Teacup” yorkie. In order to help minimize the confusion, I would like to clear up that there is no such thing as a teacup yorkie, but there are some yorkies that are smaller than others. The standard Yorkshire Terrier weighs 4-7 pounds full grown, which I think is quite small, but occasionally there are puppies which fall below these standards, and they are often referred to as “Teacup Yorkies”.
I occasionally have puppies that fall below these standards, and I feel it is important to be VERY selective as to where I place such small puppies. I DO NOT recommend families with young children buy a yorkie that is less than 4.5-5 pounds. I also often have buyers who request a yorkie under 3 pounds, let me just say, I am yet to see a healthy yorkie that truly weighs under 3 pounds. I am not saying that they do not exist, but I wouldn’t want one for myself because of the health hazards.

Weight and Breeding…
As for people looking to buy a female yorkie to breed, I would personally recommend buying one that is over 5 pounds. If you breed a yorkie smaller than five pounds, it is very likely that you will end up with a C-section, and it’s not worth the risk and expense, especially if you are not an experienced breeder. As for males, I would recommend buying a male less than 4 pounds to breed. It is always best to match a small male with a larger female.
As a breeder, If I have females that are tracking to weigh less than 5 pounds, I generally sell them with a spay contract in order to insure that they WIIL NOT be bred, so if you are interested in buying an extra small female yorkie from me, do not plan on breeding her. I feel it is my responsibility as a breeder to protect my babies! Thanks!
